1. Delete your account in the app
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app at any time:
• Open WealthMotley and go to Profile
• Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account"
• Confirm — your account and data are erased permanently
This is immediate and irreversible. You do not need to contact us to delete your data.
2. What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the data associated with it, including:
• Your account and profile (name, email, preferences)
• Your money picture — net worth, accounts, balances and transactions
• Budgets, savings goals and categories
• Any uploaded statement data and imported records
• Investment and recurring-payment entries
• Learning progress and in-app activity
If you linked a bank read-only in Nigeria via Mono, that connection is removed — WealthMotley only ever read transactions and never had the ability to move money.
3. Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, you can ask us to delete your account and data instead.
Email privacy@wealthmotley.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and delete your data within 30 days.
4. Data we may retain
After deletion we do not keep your personal money data.
We may retain a minimal record (for example, a deletion log or transaction records required for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes) only where the law requires it, and only for as long as required, after which it is deleted.
